Slight problem with the mapgenerator...

Spawned my shelter into a huge cliff. And by huge i mean HUGE, and also rectangular.

Known problem since the wilderness guide was implemented. You get 5 uses to change locations. While it's not an ideal fix or workaround, it is a functional one.

Once you get hiking, you can always (re)build a lean-to in the same location if you really want to keep that spot. it usually only takes a few hours to obtain the skill.

Oh, I don't mind the spot at all, especially since it takes no effort to climb the cliff in any direction even after I left it. But I don't think the developers meant cliffs to be spawned that are perfectly square, 100 meters high and effortless to climb.

A fight with a snake and the subsequent teleportation seems to have solved the problem, all terrain is now the same level. Close please.

this is a known issue with the map cache. After teleporting, sometimes the map cache will not completely empty and you'll see this kind of stuff :) Most often, it occurs to or from boston.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
