I've seen noone but my mates, and just found one leanto nearby (it was 103 tiles away). Kind of nice. Liking the new mapgen, too.

Would just like to know what some things are used for - butchered a deer, got bones, no idea what bones are for so far. xD

I really like the new mapgen. These smaller biomes are a lot easier to navigate, rivers seem to run on much longer, and the ground seems a lot smoother which will reduce the time needed to level a base.

I want to chime in: I like the idea of limiting the character growth progress.

For me good think is I can play here and then, make a meaningful progress and do not have to feel like I could progress much faster (and not having to force myself to play a lot more than my real life allows).

I understand why hard core players consider it non-fair, it is a big change, still I like it. We shall see how it works once the emotions calm down a bit.

+1 for the more casual, non-grindy pace. I always hoped for skill level caps but I guess it isn't as viable in a game like this, so this is a good alternative, I guess.
