Last time I talked to Loftar he couldn't pinpoint to the nearest 36 hours when the map-gen might finish. Therefore, I would be surprised if we see anything happen prior to the weekend.

Do you happen to know if they are running into problems with the map generator program?

I don't think it was a "Problem" it was just the fact that it is "new" and they don't know how long it is going to take to finish.
