I, for one, wholly support the wipe and am excited for the opportunity to revisit the game and explore a new world. I would ask jorb if he and loftar have decided on expanding the map size specifically to include a larger darkness area. There had been talk of this but I don't know if a decision was reached.

I wish they would just freakin wipe the game and update already so I can play again.. At the moment its pointless to play and I'm sure most of the community feels the same way as I do. So Hurry the heck up already!

If there will be many large factions you should be able to hide easly.

This doesn't seem to be the case. Even my peaceful village had an effort to map and monitor all found claims. Large raiding factions will scout to the extreme.

The second problem is that because of the time and cost of leveling the land and building up a claim and structures, it is too costly to move in order to find a better hiding place after you have been found, marked and are being monitored.
