Weekly updates with a dev team of two is just completely unrealistic. If there were a team of 30 programmers, designers, and artists, you might expect it during a beta that is only a few months from release.

I do believe they both have credits on another Paradox game. I forget which one off the top of my head, though. Level design or something like that?

The game will patch when Jorbtar are ready, until then just find another game, there's plenty of them out there

the more I hear about bots and such the less interested I am in Salem... at least with TES... it has an active Dev team. Jorb/Loftar were once part of such an 'entity'... what happened there? Is there any reason to believe they'll be more active now?

Bots are only useful for liming, building coal clamps, mining out a mine, and making board piles. Everything else must be done by hand so the advantage is limited. I would say the Tribal Bots only run 4 hours every day before we have to come in and manually do something with the materials.

I have mixed feelings. One of the ways I made the grind more interesting was to attempt to collect and vault one of every item. I made spreadsheets to track the items I still needed. I had alts so that I could store them and go back and look at what I had collected. There was nothing game breaking about it. It was my way of creating a mini-game for my own amusement, and did so on the basis that we were told no wipe and therefore my collection would be retained. I regret the time wasted and the destruction of my collection that is coming.

However, I have mostly stopped playing the game and I desperately want this to be a fun and successful game. I keep coming back and it just has not been fun. Each time I come back I find some interesting moments but overall I find I am doing the same things over and over again just to pay upkeep or to build up something only to be destroyed by a raider. So if a wipe can breathe some new life into the game, so be it, and I will come back and try again.

No one at all has said it won't happen. Given their track record though, it's very unlikely the devs will do this next week like they said they would.
