I for one think it makes perfect sense to get the skeleton of the game right before fiddling with the details. I hope they don't go with small updates after this one, but instead do a complete alchemy overhaul.

There's been at least two posts by Loftar talking about how their switching server companies. They're apparently going with a company that will save them money. The company they have hosting the servers now was chosen last year.

Wiping a server means a lot of stuff. Rebuilding the maps. Repaying or transferring anything bought from the store. etc...

4: Nope. Loftar's department.

Jorb, you probably noticed a little spike in cash shop everytime you publish a new patch? ;)

What sort of fantasy world do you live in where frogs and crabs are some sort of effective defense against raiding? You're showing your ignorance.

You admitted it yourself by saying that they are difficult to pick up and get in the way. Put a few frogs or crabs in the right narrow spot and at the right time and you have a chance to block an attacker.

Personally, I'm very happy with my little army of critters and I enjoy picking up crabs and frogs when I see them because I consider them pretty valuable already...

I don't even remember who said it, but the assumption that it's easy to have a productive and secure base by settling in ruins is absurd. As in HnH, you don't settle in raided ruins because the spot was obviously raided for a reason.

Lightning never strikes the same place twice?

I'll also point out the totally haphazard and utterly absurd base layouts I come across... Seriously, ***** trying to live in that mess.

However I'm not complaining about all the methods of base construction, as I've said before my only complaint is with digging. It's so labour intensive, although it seems to drain less phlegm than I remember from several months ago, which, if correct, is appreciated. Also don't think I'm pushing this as a more important issue than say... Fixing Gluttony and Alchemy, but it is up there on my personal list of priorities. Terraforming is too hard for someone who loses as many bases as I do.

It is perhaps a unique way of playing but I don't mind losing a base as much as I mind flattening the land to build a new one. I'm the prey not the predator, why so hard to be prey?

There was not a digging tool to fix/make easier all that tiem wasted in terraforming? It was going to be implemented with alchemy cash pack, but if i remember well it was already made and we never heard of it again.

A faster way to flatten out land would be appreciated, especially if you are building a new base alone it can take days or up to a week of just flattening the area for you to settle (assuming you intend on building a town or large settlement).

Digging is supposed to be hard. On the other hand raiding should be a bit harder.
