Yet from everything i have read in the last dozen or so pages is that even people that come here and give "legitimate complaints written in a concise and courteous manner" get banned.

simply point out each of those with the link and question its validity. that is the purpose of this thread after all, instead of telling moderators how bad they are doing to your eyes.

the thread is for legitimate complaints written in a "concise and courteous manner". this is not a thread to vent*, argue, or troll; it is not a thread to berate or harass the moderators; it is not a court of public opinion, nor is it a court of appeal, or any kind of court. jwhitehorn's post upon his return from his 1-day ban was neither concise nor courteous, nor was it a legitimate complaint. he was warned for it, acknowledged the warning, and then continued to post in the same manner regarding his 1-day ban that had already passed. there is literally nothing that could be done to correct the "issue" at that point, so there was no reason to press the matter further other than trolling.

Legitimate complaints were presented in a concise and courteous manner - you responded with snark without addressing the complaints, and no reasonable defense for the poor moderation has yet been offered. Your reflexive banning and tossing of the issue to the inattentive jorb only goes to illustrate you're not carrying out your duties faithfully. Rather than clamp down on trouble and avoid causing the developers trouble, you and your team stir up fights where none were necessary, and then side-step when called on it. With the exception of a couple active moderators, what good do the rest of the moderation team actually do? There's no engagement with the community - why are the forums a better place with you here?

It also reflects poorly on jorb that he's unable to respond to the issue in a timely manner - the developers' apathy to both Salem's development and its community do the game no favors.

furthermore it is not your unalienable right to post here. it is a privilege and if you continually cause trouble you will have your privileges revoked from time to time.
