Normally I would say that the lower population is a direct result of less patches, but then I remember Jorgen is still a Brave. So yeah.... Our Bad.

Hi guys.

Hmm.. one thing that would make it better is that instead of you guys saying the whole map is tribe lands... just take a big chunk of it and mark it, and tell it's yours. Post a map of it, idk plant stones or build a fence of whatever. Then let the non treaty players live outside of it in their hovels if they so wish. If someone wants to live on your lands, then they have to pay the treaty. Atleast then you will give the players another way out than just pay up or die. Then you share the sandbox. Don't claim it all by yourself it's no fun.

Just a idea. What say you?

We have done that. There is an entire area of the map that is called "The Reservation". Anybody may settle and live here free of charge and not pay the Treaty. it is fenced and everything. Anything BEYOND those fences is Tribal Lands and is subject to treaty payments. Despite this fact People still choose not to live in The Reservation and choose to try to live in our section of the map without paying.

I did not know of this. Do you have a public map of where it is and how to get there etc. How big is it anyways?

Here is the thread about it:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1704&p=21904&hilit=Reservation#p19836

Here is a patch note announcing it:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1700&p=19804&hilit=Reservation#p19804

here is us trying to drive traffic to it to help new players:

The simple fact is players that are killed by the Tribe don't "want to live without paying a Treaty". They simply use that as an excuse to continue their life of Crime. The Treaty itself can be paid with about 10-20 minutes of effort FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH. If you don't want to spend 10 minutes to choose where you live then you can live @ The Reservation FOR FREE. As you can see. We have bent over backwards to accommodate new players who wish to live in a society rooted in Justice. Unfortunately, many of them come here thinking this is the game where they will be allowed to grief/pillage other players. On Plymouth, that is simply not true.

I have read those posts and i find your vision very lacking and narrowsighted.

What you suggest is this and what it has become.

What i suggest is this.

+ this

I also suggest the creation of general constitution (commons laws) for our servers that everyone should follow. And make sure that if these laws are broken they will probably be hunted down and dealth with accordingly.

With this system factions or countries can be built, and they could have their own laws based upon the common laws with harsher punishments or whatever they like. Good roads and paths would link countries/kingdoms villages together. We could have a very civilized server. If wars happen or something like that, then the map and borders could change a littlebit. But the idea is to keep all options open and not take the whole map for yourself. It's no fun anyways.

The Tribe would be responsible for it's own borders and own laws (based upon the common law/constitution). If one wanted to live on the tribe lands they could but on your terms with the treaty or tax or whatever else terms there might be.

In the end we could have a map (hand made) with clear borders and factions and where the big cities are. Names of forests and lakes that make sense to everyone. Then we would have a diplomatical and political understanding with eachoter, what the terms are and what we all set out to agree on. Then we would play the game according to theese fundamental principles.

Now this is only a part of what i had in mind, but i am not very good at sharing my vision or even get them down on paper. But i hope you and the community get something out of this.

Man proposes to divide the land of Plymouth on the north and south (for example) and the northern part of the tribe to give MM and south leave "wild lands" (in which the Treaty does not apply) ... Unfortunately this is not possible! What is the meaning of the Tribe itself create the same problems as the appearance of free settlement, if the entire server at their mercy.
God will judge!(Priest)
