I think it's fair to ask people to prove that they are actually active players and not going to just quit after we give them land. There's nothing insulting about that no matter how absurd you try to make it sound.

4: Well, congratulations. But that doesn't change the fact that we supply a lot of players with materials that help them to grow faster and that they would otherwise be unable to get themselves.

Figured I should speak up too. I'm Oubliette's friend, who has a small claim near hers. I logged in to find my lean-to gone, along with the contents of my chests within, my sawhorse, and a few meager crates of milkweed I'd gotten for raising my phlegm. In truth, I barely lost anything of value (I've been playing maybe a week) and was ready to move on but I wanted to check on her claim first. After seeing the wreckage and raising the alarm, I found the three brigands in the act. They proceeded to claim whoever owned the property was a criminal and that they had followed their scent here before wrecking the joint and placing down a town bell to try and steal the mine. Their intentions were clear from their questions: they wanted to know who owned the claim. I'm not an idiot so I didn't say much and just waited for Oubliette to arrive to deal with it.

Once she arrived, I proceeded to walk towards her and we began inquiring what this was really about. They kept trying the criminal angle but we weren't having any of it. Eventually they dropped their facade and admitted thye just wanted the mine. At this point they surrounded me and being to try and shake us down, like they were some ***** mafia goons. They began threatening to kill me unless we turned over the claim stone but what else did I have to lose? They already took all my stuff and destroyed some of my property. Killing me would be a minor setback at worst. Once it became apparent that their tactics weren't going to work they killed me as some kind example, laughed, and turned their attention to Oubliette. They soon killed her and proceeded to loot the place rather poorly.

If any of the bounty hunting folk are interested, there should still be some scents on what's left of my property from the same guys. Contact me if you're interested but I'm sure you can find the place if you've made it to her homestead. It's not exactly hard to find.

As for the criminals... you guys really were the biggest bunch of chuckle ***** I've ever seen. You can't shake someone down unless they have something to lose and you certainly can't do it when it's clear you are going to kill them for ***** and giggles anyway. Have fun trying to make back all the money you lost stealing a worthless mine and placing a bell. Enjoy your prize of jars upon jars of horse ****. Maybe next time you'll find something worth taking.

Well, i guess these retards are happy to have food and a place to crush, even knowing that their major covering his criminal lame security chief, who's killing and robbing same newcommers just aroung the corner. In fact - who cares about those loosers? 'Cause here we are: safe and happy!

Let it be known that from this moment all traders should break any traiding relationship with ZtyX and he's criminalized town Utopia.

Everyone who's meeting, trading and talking with Utopia citizens should be blacklisted and banned for any trading.

Anyone related to Utopia or it's criminal inhobitants should be memorized and reported to Darwoth or any other who'll declare war to Utopia.

Hi Ashburner.

I don't know exactly the precise details of what happened in your interaction besides the screenshot I posted and from talking to Rainbow Dash, but I can tell you that my friends raided you to have some fun and they wanted the skeletons on Oubliette's claim. I understand that you've lost a lot and I'm sorry for your loss. But this game has crime gameplay mechanics and sometimes people will raid you when your defences and your character is not strong enough to protect you. Apart from that they also looted a shed full of high purity iron bars, so maybe that's why they thought the mine was so good.

About the "crime angle" as you put, Oubliette DID leave a battery scent, but that could have been an accident hitting an alt or from a duel. I don't know and Oubliette probably doesn't know either or forgot. Anyway, none of that really matters. You were simply raided and killed because you were in the way when someone who was stronger and tougher chose to do that. I would have acted differently, but at least these guys are helping other newbies in Utopia. You also have to realize that crime is a part of the game and something that strong players have fun doing sometimes. You will have to do a better job at protecting yourself next time. I know it sucks, but this is a chance for you to rebuild and try to survive somewhere else. Many of us have been through this before. Actually, the guy who raided you is no different. He's been killed before and has lost bases. Actually, last week his character was killed by Darwoth, but he's back now.

I don't know what else I can tell you. Just that this is what can sometimes happen. As for Utopia members doing it, I can only say that these guys would have raided even if they weren't Utopia members. At least as Utopia members they can do some good too by interacting with new players and helping them in whatever ways they can. Actually, one of the guys who came to Oubliette's base was a newbie, had fun and learnt quite a bit as well as getting some free stuff (including the WSS metal helmet and clothes with pockets).

I'm sure Oubliette should be happy now to know how her time and efforts helped Utopia's retards to make new retards.

I can understand why she'd be upset. I would be upset too. But, crime is an end game mechanic and it's a way to have fun. I cannot change the way people act or think. All I can do is try to provide a different way to play and hope that people respond to that more often than not and give back to the community. The alternative is not to do anything at all and then these guys would raid even more and probably do nothing useful for the server.

Because we're giving back to the community far more than we sometimes take and only some of us are half bad. The Tribe is all bad.
