Given the number of times chief has been warned for trolling help and his continued lies on topics such as legacy hay I'm shocked that this thread is even allowed in help.

perhaps because it is, at the moment, actually helpful?
Whether or not it was rightful to split off from the other wiki, this one is helpful and more accurate at this very time.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Not true. It might have a couple more accurate statements - but on the whole its missing a lot. My other point still stands that you can't trust chief not to lock this down for only treaty payers after it is finished - and Sabitini's wiki is put out of business. Chief is known to pull stunts - this is likely one.

So that gives you the right to troll a help thread? You clearly know that people get warned for doing such.

I voiced these concerns earlier before this ever became an official help thread.

Since then chief has already been banned once for content on the wiki. I posit that this entire thread and wiki will eventually be proven to be a long running troll by the chief. He has done nothing to make us trust him otherwise.

Rather than agree or disagree with me - you choose to question the legality of my posts.

I don't consider warning n00bs about a known fraud to be trolling.

I'm surprised so many people who know what a fraud the chief is continue to help him in this endeavor.

It's one thing to troll, another to post what could be very real concerns on the health of something like this based on past history. It's not the first time the questions have come up and it's not going to be the last. Truth be told, we could have banned several players for posting false information about sabinati's site if we want to enact this "absolutely no trolling" stance.

You're quite right that these sorts of comments don't belong in the Help section, but players do have a right to voice them. The choices are to allow them here or move the thread. I'm not entirely sure which is more helpful, as for now, they seem to be doing a good job on getting things updated and making information accurate. The idea is to be the most helpful to the community, and so that is the dilemma: is it most helpful here even with allowing a few negative feedback comments or in City where it could get really ugly?

For now, I'm of the opinion it should stay here. It's most visible and helpful to those that need it. If anyone has real concerns about this, they can feel free to express them. BUT please keep it to actual concerns over the health of the site and for the community. Derailing, off topic, or flat out trolling won't be tolerated. At worst, the thread can moved from here and with a link in the helpful links post to this thread.

The Tribe has gone through great lengths to make sure all requests have been updated in a timely matter. The only gaps in this would have been when I was banned and unable to see your update requests. Aside from this we are also working on getting all the tier'd food recipes up on the wiki and have created new templates that allow for the ingredients used in food products to be visible in the wiki now.

Anybody who doesn't like the Tribe is more than welcome to NOT use the Wiki. It will only place you at even more of a disadvantage.

The above is an example of providing variable recipes for the "Crafting Bonus" as detailed in the Project Mayhem patch update. I'm personally not a fan of the layout; however, it is functional and informative and until we can simplify the presentation of variable usage, we'll go with this. As you can imagine, gathering the foods, finding the base, and posting them all is an arduous task so if anyone would like to help with this process, it would be greatly appreciated. Soon the Wiki will feature a list of foods that specifically use variable recipes.

Also, all recipes which allow for a Crafting Bonus have been added to the front page under the title "Variable Food" http://www.salem-wiki.com/mediawiki/ind ... iable_Food

Currently Mushroom Pie, Berries-on-a-Straw, and others are complete or started so feel free to browse. Some of the recipe combinations provide for surprising bonuses when laid out.

I posted above about having legitimate concerns and complaints and posting them. It is this sort of sniping and the flames that result that need to be avoided in the Help section.

Can you quote or link a reference? Are you directing this comment @ Ron Paul or @ us? I doubt that there is an issue with Tylans massive effort on reworking the new gluttony food values but I found it odd that you posted directly after him with such a comment.

My bad. Sorry for any confusion. I am referring to Tylan's trailing remark in his previous post.

I had a post typed up, didn't like the way it read, and edited out the important comment... yeesh! If this was anywhere else in the forum, I'd just ignore it.
