So wait, Mushi necro's a thread for laughs and you guys don't care, and I necro a thread for a joke and because I'm desperate for a Halloween update and you threaten a ban?

I'll stop doing it........,but the better mod move would have been to just hinnon the posts up to the last one before I necro'd it which would then place the necro thread back in order down the line, and then lock the thread. Why create even more posts and conflicts on the dead thread and threaten a ban over something like this? If I was a mod I wouldn't even have posted, I would have simply hinnoned, locked and moved on for both the threads.

If it's the thread I think Claeyt is refering to, no, not really. I made "We find it mildly amusing" comment because, well, it is mildly amusing, and it wasn't that old of a thread.

My opinion is that it really isn't a necro until at least 60 days or posts have absolutely nothing to do with the previous discussion. It's a small forum, so discussions can die off for a few weeks without interest and then pick back up.

Why would you ever think that bumping a year old thread in a forum reserved for game development would not be moderated? People look to that forum section regularly and are likely get very excited to see new posts. Necroing old threads will only get people angry with you.

It was a legitimate comment quoting Stax's problem with it still saying '..to Boston' on the travel button, which the game still has. I was looking through last halloween's update to see what we got then. I was also hoping that we would get a Halloween update this year like most other little MMo's like this do, but apparently we're not getting any holiday updates. Like I said, I think Magic should have just clipped the posts to hinnon to lower it back down to where it was and locked it. He still hasn't done this so apparently raising the old Halloween announcement to the top wasn't that big a deal to him. Threatening a ban is too much in my opinion especially when the mods just laughed at Mushi necro'ing a different thread the same day.

Either way, I said what Magic should have done several times and the thread is still near the top so I don't care. The thread you posted on, created by Darwoth was one of the most useless threads we've ever had on these forums and should have been locked repeatedly after it went downhill. I don't care if you necro threads for a point like I did, I was just saying you brought one back after a month and a half.
