Why is it that the guy who brings up legitimate concerns with cited sources, receives the same ban as people who are posting personal pictures of other users? Isn't this the thread to bring up legitimate moderation concerns? Any ban, let a lone a one month ban for posting moderation complaints in the moderation complaint thread seems abusive.

yes, this thread is for legitimate moderation concerns, it is not for rules lawyering, mod harassment, trolling, or repeatedly bringing up "concerns" that have previously been addressed.

I'm sorry if this seems obtuse, but you didn't cite any of Ikpeip's discussion with TeckX about the current application of rules vs. previous application of rules, so at what point did it become rules lawyering, mod harassment, or trolling? Even if it was a previous "concern" as you call it, did it seriously warrant a ban? If it was such a ban worthy offense, why didn't TeckX end the discussion and ban him?

It just simply looks like you banned him by association rather than the content of his posts.

No, because your distress at having said picture posted in this context would obviously be entirely disingenuous. Generally speaking there are no "rights" whatever on these forums, only privileges.

There is certainly a place for legitimate rules' clarifications, but constructing and construing situations that may appear to be -- but are not actually -- in some trivial conflict with the *wording* of the law will not get you anywhere. It is, again, not the wording that is being enforced.

I do agree with this, however, and I also think the warning against Khaztropix was rash. In the interests of fairness I will unban Ikepip and rescind the warning against Khaztropix.
