Newbie looking for someone to teach the ropes(Jamestown)

Hey, i recently just got salem, and learn the basics, but i feel like i want to learn alot more, does anyone care to adventure with me in the world of salem who wishes to teach a fellow newbie, i can provide some labour.

I'm jamestown too, 10/10/10/10 and building myself a map with the enderclient and that map software found in these forums. I'm learning quick and starting to realize I'll need to join a homestead, or start investing in one for myself. I too am looking for a Jamestown (town) to help upkeep and to learn more.
