Yes. Very possible. They implemented Tier'd foods a few patches ago which are stronger than 100% purity foods ever were.

That is a very good plan. You should still attempt to achieve the 10%ish purity that you can get in the current system. Purity still helps but it is not necessary to obtain the humours the CG/Tribe and Darwoth had pre-purity nerf.
