A bit offtopic:
Seeing as it would be very expensive transaction (7000+ silver last time I heared someone offering to sell stand), with no safeguards for both sides - is there any chance that TotalyMoo could oversee such transaction?
I understand that GMs usually don't intervene in the game, but with no in-game mechanics to handle such transactions what else can player do?
In real world you could at least call law enforcement, get witnesses for the transaction and/or simply punch scammer in the face. But here he would come on an alt and port out after scamming.

I'm hoping stalls will have an in built buy/sell feature to address this in the future if we don't change the current system. I'd really much rather move to a different take on this system though.

Gentlemen,
If there are two parties transferring a stall, and worried about being scammed, I'd recommend escrow. For a nominal fee, I'd be willing to hold onto the silver (verifying to the stall seller it exists), and then hand over the silver to the seller once the purchaser has received the stall.
Of course, this plan is only advantageous if you trust me more than the other party you are dealing with.
Faithfully,
Paul the Paymaster

This is essentially what they have in Eve. This player for an example acts as an escrow for really high trade transactions
http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/06/30 ... h-chribba/ I think this is the type of thing that forces community although I can say that people would be a fool to trust "The Paymaster" when they have such a logical choice of using the Chief as an escrow.

I would trust chief only in a transaction involving earthworms as a currency. I would not expect natives to properly understand the meaning of those small silver circles with numbers on them. Most likely they don't even know arabic numbers at all.
Speaking of which, how many earthworms is one python worth?
