[Roanoke] Trade interest: real estate. server immigrants see

Postby aj2000 » Tue Nov 20, 2012 6:22 am

So I've set up an outpost next to a mine in a nice location, it is close to the darkness (~20 minutes walk?), steps from a nice size autumnal forest (10 seconds walk), straddling the border between a gigantic coniferous, a small grass plain and game trails. There is a huge lake to the south (minutes walk, not as close as I'd like), and a huge lime deposit to the NE (also minutes walk). There's also a clay deposit minutes to the west though it's easier to just use the trough.

The problem is my friend found another nice spot quite far away and I've agreed to move over even though the 2 spots are comparable (new place has no game trail/plains, but have closer lime deposit). Currently I plan to keep my claim and existing infrastructure as a backup, though I wonder if real estate is a commodity of value that can be traded here. The place has a decent area of flattening done, tons of neatly arranged crates with stocks of various forageables, coal clamps running and all the infrasturcture up to a Kiln done except for tanning tubs.

So I'm just testing interest here, IF it is something people are actually interested in with a sum that is worth the trouble of doing this deal, I will update all the details to this thread including images of map, my (tidy  ) outpost with list of infrasturcture (though you will be able to see it in the pic), an inventory list for supplies (crates with various stock of shrooms, turkeys, lime ...etc), and info on where others have settled in the overall area that I know of, plus anything else you'd like to know in this thread.

I imagine it'd be most useful for people from old server wanting to switch to a new server as it's best done with a new character teleport. What you will need to get a smelting ops started: 400-500~ silver for claims to replace my existing claim, 3 iron + 10 nails to construct smelter + mine.... and you're in business, all the basic infrasturcture and supplies are laid in and ready. You do of course need to train up the skills, but I imagine that to be easy with all the mix of materials for inspiration nearby.

Or maybe there's no interest at all and I'll mothball the outpost for now :D

Greetings sir, I'm interested in your place as a new player who stocked some silvers and have been looking for a suitable place for the last 4 days :)
