Newbies Burgesses startup please?

Postby simple » Wed Jul 17, 2013 10:05 am

I have played salem on and off for several month now, and I`m planning on investing a lot of time in it now, since I think it`s in a really good place right now :D
So naturally I was on the salem wiki a lot, the maps on salem.comlu, and stuff like that, until I discovered the forums. Seen that they can be a big part of the game itself,
I was just wandering, can someone maybe make a post that briefs the new players on what is going on in one of the servers? Stuff like, are there people to fear, who are they if its know?
What big cities are there on the map, are they accepting newcomers or not? Is there a war going on, and stuff like that.
If there is a post like this already, just point me there, and I`ll delete the post.
Thank you in advance :)

At this point in time, if you are currently residing on Roanoke you might want to consider starting up fresh on another server.

You do understand i have no clue as to who "Claeyt" is?
And how does answering to "nublet" questions give a reason to them (again dont know who them are. Raiders?), to kill more noobs?

Plymouth = Chief & Treaty
Roanoke = Candy Gang & Fun (despite some topics, we don't kill innocents)
Jamestown = Darwoth

So yea, go to Roanoke, most populated & fun server (& pretty safe)

i can vouch for Plymouth and Roanoke, for being friendly and helpful as long as you play by the server rules :)
Disregard any trolling attempts to tell you otherwise, there will always be some that can't play along :)

Try haven and hearth.
Salem is a killing ground on all servers atm.

In lieu of not following the rules of any particular faction this is the next best choice. If you like playing that way it's totally viable, but just don't have high expectations for survivability. Reaching out to any of these factions though and playing along is not a complete mistake though and there are more benefits to it than the hermit lifestyle in my experience.

On Plymouth and Roanoke the controlling factions love to ***** with and killing noobs for fun and sport.
On Jamestown Darwoth does the same but he is only one person and he usually is more straight forward about it. Also good defenses are typically enough to keep anyone on Jamestown from raiding you.
