what base?

Instead of putting your alt outside boston, just move him a good 5 min away from your base.

That way, they won't track to that base, and you won't have to walk 1 hour back to the Spruce Biome.

If it was just out in the woods somewhere, you're probably ok tho.

Just build a stone wall cornerpost over where the scent was and it will be completely covered. Throw in a few extra wall pieces to it and no one will think anything of it

However, I do now break random cornerposts I find.

an urn will work equally well, and often is less noticeable But easier to move

Implying that people don't have scents on their radars...pr0tip.

Safer, quicker and easier, to just spend 150s and drop a claim stone over a scent if possible. This is why i ALWAYS carry 1-3 Writs with me Just in case ^.^
