update 1 (will erase for update 2)

It seems that many players have opted to try and hide in this sandbox or grudgingly pay tribute to the natives. It seems odd to me that people who have willingly signed up to play in a full death open loot sandbox game seem so averse to fighting back. Paying tribute to the only existing faction is akin to asking to play in a safe zone.
“Fear not for your pixels nor your pies, pilgrims…”- General Butthurt
The hide and wait till my char is stronger is a doomed strategy, for, those who oppose you get stronger much quicker you’ll never catch up and its only a matter of time till you’re found.
The chief will get bored with this extortion racket and demand more and more. If you continue to give tribute you are helping them more then yourselves.
“I ask the pilgrims of boston to give to themselves and to the chief, never”- General Butthurt

In a permadeath full loot mmo , the end game happens in 1 of 2 ways. You get to the highest level of power or when someone else reaches the highest ends of power.
“Stand up and be counted, the end game is now” – General Butthurt

I would offer to join, but this looks to me like it is going to be some halfassed noob ****. Get somebody that can draft up a real OP for this thread and I might reconsider.

trouble is the way the game works now,

a) you need a base with lots of farms to build up characters, this takes time
b) since defenses are paper, if your base location is known it can be destroyed in minutes
c) anyone can create an alt and pretend to be on your side while having huge power to destroy your whole operation
d) if you somehow manage to get some characters and kill one of the enemy, he will just come to your base when you are offline and kill you plus destroy your base

that said if enough people joined and grouped in one place such that they could maintain round the clock coverage of their base then they could probably hold out and maybe eventually muster the power to go on the attack, not sure plymouth has enough actives that are willing to commit to that though.

Honestly, you're better off just asking for donations, to feed a group you already have, and if you don't already have a group, you should just close this thread.

If the Chief can rule justly, why rebel?
