Greetings Filthy Squatters of Salem,
Our story begins as the wise Chief PeePooKaKa lay on a beach. Basking in the sunlight that emanated from a texture-less sky, he lay half naked on the beach stroking his singing log headdress. All of a sudden a small seagull lands on his leg.

"CAW CAW" cries the Seagull

"Whats that you say? Somebody needs the help of the Tribe?"
responds The Chief

"Caw... Caw... Caw Caw CAW!" explains the Seagull

"You have a letter on your leg? Its an emergency?" responds the Chief

The chief quickly unties the blood-soaked letter and begins reading.

Oh No! Apparently this player who has had much training in the arts of the English language from Darnokpl is in need of assistance! TRIBE.... ASSEMBLE!

The Tribe ran like only the Tribe can and within hours they had arrived at the city described in the letter.

Image

They immediately began surveying the city. The Tribe quickly concluded that the initials "TDA" stood for "Timber Destroying Authority". The Tribe had heard of an organization whose mission was to destroy the lovely Timber from Mother Nature and organize it in sadistic piles as some form of cultish ritual but never had they seen 100's upon hundreds of these harvest-able piles in one location.

The Tribe had no choice but to do what the Tribe does in situations like this.

Image

Just then the citizens of the mighty TDA arrived! For some unknown reason they were both confused and angry as to why the Tribe was there. As if they thought those piles could sit in the open and Justice would remain blind to their actions. Regardless, a fair trial was had and the verdict arrived. GUILTY! The punishment.... DEATH!

All but one citizen of TDA was executed. The last was left alive so that he could share his journey with others and raise awareness to the dangers of this new "Timber"-fad. The Chief met up with him later in Boston where he expressed his gratitude for letting him live.

Image

And so is the story of the late TDA. May their claims be returned to Mother Nature.

Image

Their piles were erected as "Plank Walls" in the Tribal lands as a monument to the boards and trees that suffered through the horrible Prison Piles of TDA. And as for our mysterious letter-writer. It appears that he was pleased.

The brick house looks awesome i'll have to build one. As for the town, well i guess they were still setting up, hence the lack of defences.

Also are you able to destroy town bells with money in them? Or is it only with no money in them?

Town bells are destroyable if they are on a player claim. It is already on the bug tracker about authority objects.

why is it a bug that you can destroy an enemy towns authority objects without being part of the town?

sounds about right to me, a town should have to protect its assets.

are you saying that authority objects that are not on a player claim can't be destroyed by those outside the village? if so that sounds like the broken part.

if the auth objects are on both a vclaim and a pclaim then anyone can kill them. with a vclaim only town members

A town bell should not be able to be destroyed unless it is abandoned or out of money. Unfortunately, people like this probably didn't know that by having their townbell covered with a player claim that it could be destroyed.

of course you should be able to, there needs to be a counter to everything.

with enough money and enough authority objects you can eliminate a players claim via village claim.

by fighting to the center of a city you can destroy the townbell (as long as its on a claim apparently) thus breaking its grip on the surrounding area until they rebuild the bell and replace auth objects.

sounds balanced, the bug from my perspective (and hopefully the devs) is that you cant destroy bells that are not on a claim.
