This thread is hilarious. You know I watched someone drag a bear into boston and kill a bunch of noobs, I thought it was a ***** move at the time. But I've never seen so much **** anguish in one thread and it's completely changed my perspective. Any game mechanic that can make a ***** like this guy have a rectal implosion and quit is a good one in my book.

You people claiming that it's a glitch or abusing a bug, there is nowhere that says Boston is a 100% safe zone. In fact Bear-baiting was quite popular back in these times, so it's completely realistic that some guy might bring a bear into town for some good ol' entertainment and "accidentally" lose control of it, killing a bunch of people in the process. Ain't no law but God's law in this here country. And God's law says bears be everywhere so watch yourself.

Yea I get what you're saying, it would be logical to change it so that starter towns are 100% safe zones. My post was made based on how much fun I had reading this thread and not necessarily what would be the right way of doing things moving forward.

But seriously someone saying they got scammed and cancelling CC orders (which I think would be fradulent on their part since it's clearly not a scam, but I don't know how PP would handle these types of things. Doubt they'd investigate it much), and others screaming about people being ****** losers that should die because of something they did in a video game. It all just warmed my heart so much.

PM me for staxjax's address, if you really want to pay him a visit. I can assure you, it would be more fun for him than it would be for you. I'm pretty sure I could get Dallane's address too.

Yes it would be logical and that is way most people thought there is safe zone that is why they went afk!
Now those people think it is scamming and it was in some way, because there was zero warning about losing your real money right after you take pack from post:/
There is also no warning about aggressive animals in town, most people learn about animals after few hours of game play or days, when they still have 5/5/5/5.
How many of them is aware of bear fear, beaver spinning and item drop after KO?

Dallane wrote:how can you call this is scam attack? there was zero scamming involved with this. People used clever game mechanics to make a nice score.

from http://www.salemthegame.com/about
"The only place in Salem not built by the players is the main city Boston, which is a safe-zone where one can meet other players, trade, converse and enjoy the social aspects of the game. Outside of Boston only wilderness awaits, and the further you come from civilization the darker and more dangerous the world around you becomes."

Thank you.

You guys know each others' address? That's hot.

Let's all get a bear and release them into a town and see who is the first to "get their skinny white nerdy ****** ass knocked the ***** out". Greatest Meetup of All Time. Let's do it in Pittsburgh, we can all agree that place deserves more bear attacks.

OK, you had your fun, closing this now as it's nothing but people dogpiling on the OP. OP, you should handle the item loss issue via PMs to TotalyMoo.
