Interesting, first it was ONE camp now TWO...
Your imaginary friends got more camps? When are you going to tell us about them? :)

We heard about SB ranger hero of the fort... you said you know him... but your tracking/ranger job was huge fail?

And finally we all heard about propaganda-rangers on plymouth long time ago and I got feeling they are now on roa, since they can't gather any force on their home server ;)

Btw I am really very curious what is your real account name.

Did this guy who got raided, had ***** of kite and brains, some misshaped clay?

I think I might have found this guy who stole it, he told me it's maybe stolen, so I was suspicious he might have done it, and that he might be a member of ''The order of Crimson Rose'' He gave it to me on a barrel. Gave it to my other friend to study it. He needed proficiencies.

As always, arguing with Darnokpl is becoming more and more pointless, I don't even know why I bother. Everybody else gets it but him.

1. I started tracking the raiders from my newb friends mining camp.
2. I had known that a neighbor of their's got raided several days before, I received further information that the Crimson Rosie's had done this also. I also received evidence from that raid.
3. I then heard from yet another friend in the area that he had also been raided. I went and collected evidence and ported to my lean to next the Rosie's thus proving that they raided him too.

I hope this makes it clear. None of these friends are imaginary, although for obvious reasons I'm not going to reveal their names. I have many, many in game friends and acquaintances, as Rainbow proved earlier. (thanks Rainbow, you rock)

darnokpl wrote:We heard about SB ranger hero of the fort... you said you know him... but your tracking/ranger job was huge fail?

How exactly was my tracking/ranger job a huge fail? I tracked them exactly to their town, I took screen shots of their defenses, I mapped their location, I revealed that their town harbor's raiders on the forum, I sold their location for newb compensation. Justice served.

darnokpl wrote:And finally we all heard about propaganda-rangers on plymouth long time ago and I got feeling they are now on roa, since they can't gather any force on their home server ;)

What the hell is a propaganda ranger? If you mean someone who falsely charges a town with raiding for political purposes then how does this pertain to this thread. As far as I know, the Crimson Rosie's have no major player enemies, and they certainly don't in any of the forum threads. I can't even tell if they even read the forums. This is a simple case of me tracking some raiders to a town, and has nothing to do with politics.

darnokpl wrote: I am really very curious what is your real account name.

Well of course my real account name is Claeyt. That is also the name of my main character, who I don't general kin people with or go to Boston with. I have several secondary mid humour characters including the tracker/mountain climber that found the Crimson Rosie's. These secondary characters are known to my friends only and I won't reveal their names. I've probably got 4 other worker alts who don't matter. Most people know me by my merchant character which Rainbow revealed earlier. He is always willing to help newb's out with general game questions and fair trades in Roanoke. He's been offline more since I now have shared access to a stall. He has over 2000 characters memorized now, and over 500 people kinned, including you Darnokpl.

As I've stated before. I am a very nice person in game. I've never raided a claimed area or had any evidence tracking me with any of my characters. I understand the rules of raiding and PVP and really don't mind raiders who don't kill anybody, but also hope that raiders understand the other half of the rules; that they can be tracked and that their town's location will be shown or sold.

I generally only have 4 rules in Salem for myself, and if you want to be my friend, or want my help:

1. Always help the newbs. I want as many people as possible to be playing Salem. It makes the game more fun for me. By raiding obvious newb camps much lower than yours, and screwing newbs over in the market, or killing newbs for PVP practice hurts the game and hurts the amount of people who stick with the game. I'm always willing to answer questions in forum PM or in game. I remember how hard it was getting started 4 months ago when I started playing.

2. Never screw anybody over in the market, always be willing to trade stuff back if someone changes his mind.

3. Don't kill anybody unless they've killed someone you know first. It doesn't make any sense to kill anybody in a raid, when you can raid them, knock them out, leave them their character to rebuild, then raid them again a month later.

4. If your going to raid, be nice about it. Only take what you're going to use, don't throw stuff on the ground to rot, don't smash stuff for no reason. (I have one raider friend who always leaves a sign at camps he raids saying what they did wrong, "you left the wall unclaimed", "never lock your sheds or raiders will smash them open", etc...) I respect raiders who do these things, and realize it's part of the game.

For what it's worth, The Crimson Rosie's were very nice raiders. They didn't toss anything on the ground to rot, in fact they put a lot back into the boxes, They packed everything up in 2 chests, 2 boxes and the boat and left. They didn't smash anything or destroy the infrastructure. Of course that doesn't mean I can't ranger their town and sell their info so that someone can do the same to them. ;)

No they didn't have any brains or kites, and were always begging for brains to make leather. They only had a couple of misshaped clay's. It probably wasn't that guy. Always be careful about accepting stolen property. That stuff can be tracked back to you. Study it now so that people aren't tracing the scent to you.

You don't get it... I don't mind your tracking and ranger job, I wouldn't even post here if you and SB wouldn't start doing something suspicious in your two threads.

Normally when someone finds raider camp he is PMing rangers, you done opposite you both went on public. You said you are mapper then I am 100% sure you found rangers camp or many medium and large factions town that could be PM'd with info from your first post.

If you wanted silver from rose you should build sign near their base with your trader HS maybe? so many people on kin list and you didn't used it? and then send them (raiders) your demands and blackmail them. You are surprised they didn't answered? Why? You would answer public blackmail thread?

If you were true ranger, a good guy like you are saying about your self, you would do that in way I described.

What you did is very unwise, if you want to "be" good guy and punish criminals... you done it wrong... now rangers that wants to raid rose will be in danger (some other faction may take their scents after raid). If you want to on public with things like that do it week+ after rangers raid and punish criminals (scents will be gone by then).

That is why I think that your story is total BS :) you are just member of some large faction that is interested in fort area... question is what is there so important for you? Location for unbreakable HV? or nearly unbreakable (not forbidden by Jorb)? or you want that multiple biome area near rose you described? 100% purity mine?

Tell me now it will be our secret ;)

SB and I had no connection to each other before this thread except having met in town. I knew SB as one of the +100 humour guys that were fighting the lonely fight against the Russians by themselves. He started that thread, I knew the Town, it was in the area of the other raids. I checked it out.

darnokpl wrote:Normally when someone finds raider camp he is PMing rangers, you done opposite you both went on public. You said you are mapper then I am 100% sure you found rangers camp or many medium and large factions town that could be PM'd with info from your first post.

There are actually less pure Ranger teams in Roanoke than you think. I did PM some high level PVP guys I knew, but many of them were busy. If the Rosie's had been known Candy kids or Russians then I would have had more help. That's why you saw Azor (who I believe is with CoD) tracking and getting evidence from Ninding2 on the other thread. He now has evidence against one of the Candy kids, and knows the general location of his homestead. Eventually I sold it to a group of raiders whom I knew, who stuck a spy out there so that they can get out there in the future and raid the town.

I did build a sign saying "Gotcha, Read the Forums" They either never saw it or didn't care. The raider wasn't online as long as the scents were active. Who's saying I didn't use the kin list. I checked my Merchant's kin list against the Everquest guild member list of the same name (Order of the Crimson Rose) and saw some matches. :D I didn't see those people online this week, so I never got a chance to ask them. If raiding is part of the game, then why isn't blackmailing raiders. I think that's absolutely a weapon to be used in a MMO with permadeath. I also don't think of it as blackmail, but rather as seeking compensation. They could have gotten their info held for far less than the 10,000s I was asking for. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would have paid. I would have laughed at being caught and said fine, I'll pay you some $ to not reveal my map, but not 10,000. Then the haggling would have begun.

I'm not a ranger, especially with this character but more of a tracker. I could have broken through a couple of walls, and summoned the raider and knocked him out and taken his stuff. But I didn't want to leave any scents, and it would have been pointless. No large ranger groups stepped up, only one medium sized raider group. If a Ranger group does want to raid the town, then by all means PM me. I've promised the people I sold the info to to wait until they get first crack and that's it, there's also no time limit for them. I don't think any Ranger group are really worried about people getting their scents second hand, they're generally more worried about the town getting their scents. To get scents second hand, someone would have to raid the town again.

LOL :D , I will admit their 3 biome area is nice for the darkness (Oak Savannah, Autumnal, Plains) but it doesn't have any pine forest. I have no idea what their mine % is like. I am not a member of any faction and get along with almost all the factions pretty well, I have many friends in the area tho and know many people in the area. That area has been pretty peaceful until this week, I really only have an alt out there so maybe it's been worse. My main goal was to make the Crimson Rosie's worry about raiding the area my friends were in. I think if they eventually read this post, they might avoid it now, at the very least they're on the defensive and worried about the Raider group that has a spy by them. I would also tell them there are many, many more powerful people in the raided area than me who weren't really worried about them, but were annoyed that raiders were hitting the area.

As for an unbreakable HV, I don't know if there is one. We may have seen it with Colesie's base, I think Gingerbread Man's beautiful base could have been really, really hard with a townbell in it. I think the main factor is how much time and money the raider's are willing to spend breaking the walls, and how many high level characters they're willing to commit to it. If a group of 10 people with unlimited time, and 40 300 humour characters really try, they could break any base. But how many groups like that are in the game so far 3-4.
