dageir wrote:Ok, let me spell this out so you understand: How many braziers for an area of 100m2 (Or whatever the squares are.)
Example Is 10 braziers on 400 m2 enough to keep a mildly interested raider out? That equals 0,025 brazier per m2 btw.
Divide The area (A) of your claim by the value in silver of the items and structures inside (V) this gives you the chance that you will not be raided represented by they symbol

. Of course, the higher the number

the better you're off.
(A/V=

)
Now take the number

and multiply by the number of braziers on your claim (<8) but subtract the amount of possible high % hummus compost bins ($) inside. This gives you your safety value against raiders hitting your base (

). Any negative representation of this number means absolute certainty of being raided.
((

x <8) - $ =

)
finally multiply the number

by the number of people playing the game at the moment as determined by the button above called 'Server status' represented by the symbol
![Trollface ¦]](./images/smilies/troll.gif)
. This number is how many tears (

) you will cry after your claim is "Town Belled" by someone with 2500s because they simply wanted to make room in their merchant's purse.
(

x
![Trollface ¦]](./images/smilies/troll.gif)
=

)
(A/V=

) then ((

x <8) - $ =

) then (

x
![Trollface ¦]](./images/smilies/troll.gif)
=

)
So technically Alloin is right. Complete safety is only achieved by placing 1 braizier for every m2 of your claim.
The short answer Daegir is the more the merrier, but town bell your base when you can. With 979 posts how do you not know this answer already.
