This is not exactly a hard one to figure out. He was apologetic up until we took down the waste claim, and then started running his mouth again. He had to known the apology was going to be recorded (there are at least two other postings in HoB where a recording from the MM Vent was posted), but figured he could just have one of his buddies moderate the link away. With how fast TechX jumped on it, Coles might've even given him a heads-up beforehand.

1. Yes Coles runs his mouth off, but nowhere in the spliced together audio clips (which he claims was taped earlier) or in game convo (which I've read) did I see or hear him state that he surrendered....And what exactly did he surrender anyways. He still has his base, he still has his life. He wasted 8 hours of Tribe time and gave up some rebel base on a mountain somewhere. I don't think he gave up Judaism like the Chief said, and Judaism himself confirms as much. I think you have been snake bit twice in a week by former Tribal members. Once by Realak and once by Coles who may have tricked you into giving up the siege. More importantly what about now that he claims he didn't surrender. Does that mean the siege is back on. He's still selling your stolen seeds in his stall. Again, I'll restate that it seems like he got off easy (unless there's more to the story that I don't know).

Yes, I am calling Jordan Coles a liar. I was under the impression it was public knowledge - if you go digging through Hinnom you can find a recent thread where he posted a conversation he had with Realak (which was also full of falsehoods), and then lied and said it was from killertomas to mask the fact he was posting on behalf of someone permabanned from the forums.

2. I think everyone's lying a little bit here. Coles definitely lied to you and maybe he's lying to us (maybe he's even pretending to be rebel again, who knows). I think the Chief is lying and exaggerating about the surrender to save face for the tribe, who fought for 8 hours to break into the base but never even made it to the tree line. Maybe the Chief was lying to buy time until you can get more people online, maybe to lure Coles back to the MLA base, maybe it's some deeper intelligence thing, either way the facts on the ground are you tried to break in for hours and failed, Coles still controls the MLA base and all you got was a voice recording of him apologizing (possible made up from last month), some lean to base of GlennFinnan's and a heap of Alt skeletons (Again as far as we know that's it).

How many times have we seen a tribal warrior post on these forums "Screenshots or it didn't happen"?

Running off the main topic here, but can you point out some posts where a Brave has posted that?

3. Screenshots are always on topic, and Coles has posted all of them. All we got from the chief was a picture of the waste claim instead of a pile of cleared buildings. And come on, really you actually thought I couldn't find a quote from a tribe member saying that in 8 seconds flat.

It's always been screen shots or it didn't happen and it always will be. Some pieced together, supposedly authentic audio (Coles denies it, says it was earlier) where he just says he's sorry, or in game convo where he never actually says he surrenders doesn't count. Like I said, really the only thing for the tribe to do now is prove they can take the base and take a screen shot of them standing in the middle of it, especially since Coles has gone back on your idea of a surrender. I actually think you could do it if you had everybody online, instead of just 3 people.

Back on topic, why bother taking screenshots of IRC conversations(which can easily be faked, and moderated away under dubious pretenses) when you've got an authentic voice recording? Isn't it a bit telling that Jordan Coles' immediate response wasn't "that's not me," but rather a request for the removal?

How many screenshots of IRC convo's have I had to read of the Chief talking to, luring or making fun of some newb before scalping them. Are you saying those were all faked?

Either way, I'm neutral. I think the Tribe is the only counter weight to the Russians right now, and I think Coles is maybe a giant thorn in your ass and was a giant time suck to the best team on Plymouth.

I think one of several things happened at Fort MLA and in this thread. The Chief was trying to put the best light on a Tribal fail by using dubious evidence and is being sneaky and biding his time to make another assault. I think the Tribe may have proven exactly what they're capable of and now everybody knows how to build a base to repel them. I think Coles may have tricked you into giving up the siege by pretending to surrender and giving up a rebel location. I think you wasted 8 hours and got nothing. Lastly, I think there's more to this "Surrender" than we know, maybe super secret triple reverse spy stuff, who knows.

Of course since Coles is back talking smack, who cares about the voice recording or the in game convo, or the rest of it. The only thing for the Tribe to do now is to take the damn Fort already just to prove that it can. Otherwise, all they've proven is that they aren't able to take the Fort, ever, and the Treaty payers will have to worry about anybody in the fort raiding them whenever they want.

The logs regarding Glenn's base weren't true btw lol, a while ago it was a joke that he lived on a mountain somewhere. A character called "The Trapper" told me that they couldn't trust anything I said to them anymore (them being the tribe) to which I replied, "Okay, but just so you know I live with Glenn now"

I have nothing to do with any tribe-related deaths aside from some while I was rangering but in all three cases I killed the perpetrator myself solo.
