There is a strange idea here that a fight has to be under perfect circumstances to be considered fair. No fight, unless staged, will be under ideal circumstances. A fair fight is any fight you participate in and a loss is when you die. Don't despoil the joy of the raid with a declaration worthy of that of a child.
