The mindset that you are attempting to explain much like an infant would put to words the concept of how a dishwasher works is that if you abuse bugs, the devs will fix them. Sometimes this happens.

But you are not showing the bug. You're not showing any bug! What the hell do you think the solution is to characters wandering the map and having the ability to screenshot someone else's base?

There isn't one.

The majority of players in this game are hermits and survive only because someone like you isn't out there posting their base for everyone to see, track down, and break in.

You're being a ***** and you're promoting a level of ***** that will earn you nothing but loathing from the community. You want to sell information to the highest bidder? Whatever, you're a douche bag. But just posting it because you're pissy about the game itself having this "glaring" flaw that allows assholes to publicize base layouts and locations makes you just that.

If you're that into watching pain being caused, grab a mirror and watch as you slam your reason to compensate into a car door.

Some one have to realize this balance problem is here and hiding it is not solution. Its same as if Microsoft windows hole even 10 years old kid can hack and as if they asks people politely not to hack the systems as it is not nice instead of fixing it.
I do it I cos I like salem but I dont like how easy is to abuse it.

But what you are abusing? What balance is problem?

List bugs you found. If you are posting bases like this you are acting just like 6 years old kid.
If you like salem you should try to help people, not bring raiders under their gates.

I’m glad it started this whole discussion.
Is this violation of game rules or policy? No … so get over it kid. How about map project? http://salem.comlu.com
I do post only large ones and well-defended otherwise Iv send out my 1 gigs of map tiles already there. I know it sucks but building game defence on fact that people are nice and thas why they wont share base locations or wont pilage yours base wont work.
Its ***** up system. A) Map is to small for it and B) It’s not worth the time to invest in defense 10 weeks just to get 10 more minutes.

Tell that **** to tribe and mr big wall Im gona block entire town. Why they do it ? Cos they can do it. Or maybe are too fat to get layed and have nothing better to do. I dont know. Is it **** ass thing to do that breaks game fun for others ... yes it is. Game needs rules you cant rely on morale.

To play in salem you need new keyboard... without "print screen" key?

Who said you were violating a rule? I said you were being an *******. Which you are. What I -think- you're saying is that the current mechanics of defense are flawed in that someone will always be able to attack you. Welcome to a sandbox game. I hope you brought your helmet.

It's not a ***** up system; your thought process is what's *****. And to prove it, I will make the following claim:

if anyone on Plymouth happens to have their base raided after this chotch bag posts their location, I will personally track down the raider responsible. Just PM me with information, provide before and after screens for verification, and I'll be there to gather the scents.

Oh! Did you forget about this aspect of the game? The part where the community as a whole is made up of a variety of people and that base defenses were only a portion of how to deal with would-be raiders? Rely on those morals and have fun ***** your way through Jamestown. It's not like you're capable enough to raid the bases on your own, unfortunately, but I'm OK with the warning applying to any who would stoop as low as to entertain your backassward ideologies. The Tribe and coles bases are a testament to the system in place at the time they were created, both of which are now outdated to my knowledge and will continue to be so as new features are implemented as this is still a game in beta testing. The day the Tribe in particular begins posting bases for no other reason than to screw over people they don't even know is the day I stop vouching for them.

Not about the bases, about the mindset, or should I say mindless set.
This just stinks.
If he had a scent, a reason, even a dislike of the owner, understandable, but woohoo I can press print screen?
Pretty darn pathetic IMHO

for them.

Unless print screen leave scents I’m quite safe :). Another fail. But you are welcome to kill me. I got motivated by what I’ve been reading here and fact is about few people with 400+ raiding every base killing every one and there seems to be no way to fight it. And worse no way to defend. You can only hope they won’t find you and wont sell yours location Draghoht or that tribe guy mr. Kakapoo seems to have entire map well under control dedicated even it takes months of time to map it. You got at best 4 months I think as newb. If you show me that they can be stopped I will stop this and play as normal nice settler feeling safe.
Second base was hidden behind mountains from all sides behind deep water 5 walls in darkens it was no help :).
Everyone newbs join me.
Help me in this effort to show this is broken and system favors only bad guys.

Everyone has their own way with dealing with permadeath.

Ranger hides as a nomad and acts as a cockroach to deal with this.
"ooh noes, I can not he arsed with setting up a base and learn the game, I might get raided and murdered. You know what? Ill compromise large bases so I can scavage whatever is left after the smoke clears".

Classy... And no, your not a genius.
