Savior from what, I'm not sure yet, but given that he's perma-banned, I'm hoping that Coles can clear the whole thing up so I can know what/whom I've been saved from and the manner in which salvation will be delivered. Tragically seeds can't defend a base and to grow crops requires large amounts of crop space which would doubtlessly be noticed by the Tribe eventually. Is Coles therefore vouching for the Tribe indirectly by allowing Realak to provide seeds and encourage larger homesteads?

I'm waiting to see the master plan here, hoping it's something more than a brief hit and quit where Coles goes running to hide behind someone else's skirts and Realak is completely thrusted into obscurity, but I have this sinking feeling that I will be disappointed if my expectations remain so high.

That might be, but the tribe which you might still be a member of could be interested in knowing who the opposition is.
An argument against this would be that the seeds sounds so good, that people would be driven by pure greed. Still that might be enough to make them end up on the tribe black list.
