The chat bubbles stay above their heads for a good 3-6 seconds... He was very much "standing" when I met him. If you don't believe me try to use the chat feature next time you are KO'd . Or better yet... Make another trip to the Apple and I'll meet you there and we can play-test the mechanic together.. This is Beta after-all.
