His character was never bugged. To my understanding he had an issue with the cache settings on a custom client and tried to blame the entire adventure on a bug.

He jumped to conclusions and it certainly wasn't unreasonable for him to think that there was possibly an issue (especially an intentional one) with the hat itself. If you're going to such a length to troll one single player, how is it not believable that you could go a step beyond and include some more annoying "features" to "test."

We you are experiencing a bug, you go through a certain process. He didn't. He just cried all around, spammed people etc. F*ck him -_-
Trust your enemies more than your friends. Your enemies will never betray you.

I'd say it was reasonable, altough a bit presumptuous, to conclude it was the devs fault. Since the devs are new and all that.

Assuming it was on purpose is a bit of a stretch imo. If the devs wanted to bully claeyt they could screw with his stuff in many more sneaky ways that wouldn't make such a negative impression as a bugged item.

Oh okay, and what is the process exactly? Must I follow this process TO THE LETTER? Despite the crying, he asked for assistance and was given none. Perhaps he has the capabilities to troubleshoot such issues himself, but not always is the case and I use my own limited computer knowledge as an example.

I do recall them saying they attempted to help in PMs etc. or some **** like that but really, whatever issues he was facing, the CAUSE was known (A Hat) and the ability to SOLVE the issue was also known (Remove the hat). Why this step didn't take place rather than allowing a **** storm is where my main concern lies.

They allowed him to dig himself deeper, as the saying goes, and used his behaviour to further punish him. This is not suitable behaviour for anyone in a moderator or administrative position.

I was forced to stop reading here. As there were over 50+ Pm's and plenty of attempts on the public forums themselves where efforts were made to assist Claeyt. Unfortunately, he directly lied about the situations, crashes, and experiences he was having related to the item in an attempt to confuse and mislead us into unequipped an item he voluntarily equipped himself.

Please, don't try and feed me more of your ***** because I'm already bloated as it is. Forced to stop reading? Nobody forced you to stop reading anything, that's just what people say when they can't think of anything reasonable to say in response. You're the ***** DEVELOPER now dude!!! Try to act like it!

As I stated already there was an easy and known solution that you NEVER attempted and the fact that you think you reserve the right to make any player an unwilling test subject and then ban them when they argue about what you have done only further proves the point that your experience is truly lacking.

I am rather surprised people have bought in to some of your ***** so quickly, what have you really done yet? Some ****** map for all the great things you plan to add? There's absolutely no reason anyone should have so much faith already. Hope perhaps, but not faith. Not in you.

You expected professionalism from the new devs? It was a dunce hat, did you genuinely expect professionalism, originality or creativity? Picture rel8

I agree 100%. I expect that all judgements are made and passed on July 4th. From there it will be more realistic to weigh our ambitions, and capabilities and the general population will have an idea of where we are going and if they wish to come on the ride or not. Until then, we have delivered more trolls and promises than content or improvements. At this point the players have nothing to place their hope in other than our increased presence and some in-game map modding. Changes any seasoned vet knows are nearly irrelevant in the true "issues" with Salem.

You continue to remain skeptical, I'll continue to Dev. On July 4th the people will have the tools in front of them to make an educated decision and I myself will then be the one resting on the hope that our vision and abilities are within expectations of the Salemites.

As for the side-project of testing our first Cursed item on an unwilling participant, who voluntarily equipped it. We reserve the right to place creatures in the game that will perma-kill you, items that will perma-affix, and heck, if we want to throw down a hurricane that wanders the world blowing over your fences and lightning striking your windmills. At the end of the day we still see this as a survival game that requires you to be on your toes and ready for anything. To pretend that ALL changes we implement must be fully disclosed in all possible outcomes, or else we have some obligation to "undo it" is just silly. This boils down to the fact that a player took a hat, with the word DUNCE written on it and then placed it on his head. If he wanted to "see" what it looked like he could have dropped it on the ground or hung it on a wall. When I hand out a new axe, I will not be restoring characters for players that choose to chop their head off with it "to see what happens".
