If the Russians were in full strength, why didnt they respond after CG took out 3 of their finest?

By my totally non-exact guess based on second hand info from Russian friends and people who've talked to them, I'd say maybe 10-15 alts above 200, another 4-8 characters in the 300-400 range, and VVindy's main above 500. If you're talking about the CoD.

Remember they brought 11 character's most above 200, 3 months ago to take out Gingerbread man's uber-fortress.

I'm not saying the Candy Gang's not up to it, but it would be exciting. :D

If their was going to be retaliation, wouldn't we have seen it by now? Been more then a week, and not a peep from them.

They have been quiet, but not totally inactive. Azor and VVindy have been off and on. Something happened today at one of the CoD bases, but I'm not really sure which, CoD outpost was clear of waste claims. I'm sure we'll hear from the CG after it's done. The Russians were porting stuff through town.

As for them tracking each other, there's no need. The Russians don't really post retaliation shots, but rather just respond on other threads. Last weeks open field tackle was pretty amazing as we rarely see non-base attacks. They all know where everyone lives and have their lean to's. The CoD has been past Candy Island and the CG have been hanging around the Russian bases. It's going to come down to a siege of one or the other, and the Candy kids are more active now.

It would take upwards of 1,000,000 regeneration food to breach Candy Island HV with no defenders.

Untill there are changes made to defenses it is unlikely any top bases will be raided EVER.

The other day we sieged Camp Forward Outpost (Witch Haven allied and members of the former Gay Christian Bodybuilders). They had 3 major criminals that were raiding the region and we killed one in the open-field a week or two ago. Before the siege could go live they transferred every single thing off the claim and changed leanto's. Can't track their new location as they are too scared to raid anymore and it cost a significant % of raid food just to breach + destroy leantos, claimstone and check for valuables.

Then you have to factor in the risk of being ambushed by 15 Russians in the middle of tanking braziers where your forces are already split into:

1: Trial By Fire Defender
2: Running off debuffs
3: Guarding damage sections prevent repairs

For example Beartain which is a criminal town cried to the Russians within minutes of showing up on their doorstep. Why waste claim and go thru all costs for no reward. Russians are in same scenario, if they are to waste claim anyone they need to leave a significant enough force to beat our 6 at the trial by fire. They then need forces to prevent repairs inbetween waves. They need forces to run off crime debuffs (enough to survive a fight vs our 6).

It's a cold war and Roanoke will turn into Farmville.

If you are going to throw around our name, you should at least get your facts straight. That base was not associated with Witch Haven, it was Lar's base. Lars was never a member of Witch Haven. Allerton had quit several weeks before the raids took place. So, in fact, there was one member of Witch Haven, acting rogue, against specific instructions about raiding, from an independent base with two independent friends of his.

And while we're on the subject of the Danes, it's also worth noting that they only were allowed into WH only after several interviews including one with one of your own Candy gang who gave them a thumbs up, and over my objections because of an expectation of this *exact* eventuality. That they would get bored and run off raiding people contrary to our policies. You want to hunt them down (although I'm pretty sure they have quit and don't play anymore), be my guest, but stop pretending like *WE* had anything to do with these events.

They are still playing. They ran with in hours of us putting a waste claim down. They ran to someone for protection I think. I Wonder who.

I managed to trade away my character with the gear and lots of other stuff for a pretty decent H&H character. I did warn the guy that you might have him memorized though.
I'm sure there will be a reset soon in H&H to ***** me over but it's not like I will return to Salem before alchemy/mining/animal husbandry and a new server or reset arrives anyway.
Best of luck to you all.

Despite your repeated accusations, they have never been hiding out in WH. Your inability to find them is evidence of nothing, other than perhaps the wilderness of Salem is larger than it feels. And that perhaps you should have just tracked and killed them while you had live scents, if that was your intention. Why you waited until their tracks went cold feels a lot more like a calculated plan on your part to construct an excuse to go after anyone you felt like "in search of criminals". We are not and have not been harboring criminals. (Period).

You see there is this thing in the game called Memorize Claim owner.

I have over 250 active claims memorized on my character. When I see Witch Haven 4 trade with 'Criminal Scumbag' you guys are connected one way or another. More important when I see Witch Haven Tailor at the same trade barrel as 'Criminal Scumbag' and I hear success/fail of tailoring attempts that connection is even more likely.

Don't worry, we won't go messing about at Witch Haven. The game is dead as it is, a loss of another town helps no one.

are you sure its really the wh tailor? as the "Danes" have not been at WH in 4 weeks or more, their plots are more dead then the few toons of theirs candy group have killed.
while you state you have every single member of wh mem'ed the fact is anyone can tailor clothes :/ its really not that hard. you seem dead set that it is wh's tailor but how are you so sure? its not like you actually walk up to them and ask do you?? :?

fact remains they had stipulations with joining wh which they clearly broke so the last place they will be is there, though you seem to know exactly where they are? :geek:

No, it's totally true that our tailor slotted Gavin's alt's gear. Before we knew about any of this raiding. He was a member of WH, and we have combat alts. As you know. It was your source who interviewed him and gave him the thumbs up to join. Let me be more clear. I blame YOU all for their misdeeds. They ran into trouble down south. They died. They came looking for a town. We said, hey, we know you guys caused lots of trouble before, and we're not cool with that sort of ****. So we asked one of YOU to come interview them and let us know what you thought, since YOU all were directly involved with those shenanigans down south, and YOU all gave them the clear. YOU. Not us. If, predictably, they went back to their old ways once they were back on their feet, that's on YOU. *We* certainly predicted that was a probable outcome, it was YOU all who said, and I quote, "They have potential". Posture all you like. We had nothing to do with their actions.
