What is posted publicly is the face of the group. You can't be the National Rifle Association and promote gun ownership and expect people to believe that nobody actually owns a gun when everything that they print publicly encourages it. (For those not familiar with the NRA--a pro-weapons organization in the US that lobbies for gun/weapon rights.) If you want people to expect anything else, you have to make that effort to be that face. You can't be seen as trolololo and the newbie help channel and have people expect to take you seriously.
