I think it's pretty awful of people like Mushibag to tell newer players that braziers won't help them. Just because you defied and taunted a strong raiding organization to the point where they were willing to take the risks and great trouble to break into your base, doesn't mean that braziers are useless. Do you just want everyone else to suffer the same fate you did? But since you can't destroy their bases yourself, you encourage them to do stupid things so they'll get raided?

Even just a few braziers will deter most single raiders. Enough to get near full damage will deter almost anyone, and full damage is not that hard to get since they greatly expanded brazier range several weeks ago (another one of those unannounced changes). As for those few groups strong enough to break into any base they want if they want it badly, most of those groups can be paid to leave, afaik.

Braziers only keep out and deter noob raiders. What mushi is talking about is them being worthless without support from players against organized and high humor characters. You say other wise because you know just how easy it is to raid someone without player defense support.

Hey, OP here.

No I didn't have any braziers, I should have made some seeing as I had lotsa iron and coal lying around.

I had started being a bit inactive for the past 2 or so weeks, since the farming purity changes.

I still have my char, I might start playing again in a couple months, explore the new patches and fixes.

I was on the first server, from back in the beta. Boston (Plymouth) I think?
