Thyr

OP, i understand, same day happened to me. I guess you maybe know.

I left, then right and the first foot took over again. I learned to walk once more.

I left behind a good place, but it needs more than me, or him. I understand my brother. Like me he chooses to leave for his own desire.

I have common sense on my side, if it was mine to sell, 140 silver, bit less than the obvious for a personal claim. We were thinking perfect place for a town.

Lot of hardwork to do, make no mistake, but still.

Anyways our Father Afyren found the gap in Darwoths wall, told us of the compost bin days, and the wish to drop silver on the ground that left him humbled as he fished.

Jamestown, he told me, "I hit some ***** mountains"

He told us of the day he settled briefly, whittling bench and all, to re-affirm his faith in Lore and law.
Spin a top or 2, replace his crucifix and was moved on again. Charcoal for diamonds in an old log. Bastards always steal what i want :)

Like a whisper in the wind, summer breeze and kindness.

Now, I've hit some "***** mountains of my own",

way up North off of the map of the fair lady "i am real", like dragons she is :)

I stuck my head in a bonefire for a laugh, thyr :)

Walked new lands with uncertainty. Found she had stepped before.

Stepped before me.

Truth be told i don't give a *****.

So ends the tale of Thyr.

Like any map reader, i hope the map giver comes back .

I would buy maps,

bit of lime here, clay there, stone quarry (i don't know why given dross, not druss)

Is/was your place at where two small rivers come together and where you planted some fields of cabbage outside your wall?

Nope. It was a couple minutes from any water source. It was also at least 30+ minutes from the nearest (possible) settlement, and that settlement was abandoned I believe. I made sure there wasn't anybody within quite a while of me before I settled.

To the people going "lol your claim decayed", no, no it didn't. My claim has a month and a half still paid on it. Like I said, not every single naked alt was smashing ****, some were just standing behind the others (To, I would assume, guard them from being attacked while they're destroying things.)

Either way. If this guy only had a single character with high stats, he wouldn't have taken the time to smash through a wall, several braziers, and a house all over a couple bars of iron and some leather.

Ah well mate, you either jump back on the horse or start a different hobby.

Sorry for your loss but with this game, its like life, it ends with death.
No final boss, no epic victory just death or boredom.

As for finding a place far away from everyone. It can buy you time but this week my town under construction got attacked and two guys got killed for lol's. One took a break the other got excited about being killed. But it was far away south in a hidden valley... Was just tough luck really :).

Location and luck and a lot of walls and braziers determine when and how long it takes before you get raided.

If your base looks fancy enough someone is bound to try to raid it because they think there is nice stuff in it. The solution to this is to alt vault anything you deem of value. If you alt vault the good stuff, stuff needed to start again, then moving on is not such a a hassle. Especially if your main survives. Unfortunatily the practice of alt vaulting will be nerfed in some way since it will lessen the incentive to raids.
Somebody once wrote, "Hell is the impossibility of reason." That's what this place feels like. Hell
