I only wonder why no one has tried the Spanish way of dealing with the savage native population.
Why not just show them a sign of good will and intentions and sell them our "finest" products of fiery water (perhaps even show them "the proper way" to make 'em) in return for the rights of settling some of "their" lands?
It worked before. Or so I've heard.
