Has anyone figured out the duration of various crime scents in the game yet?

nope!

but I'm willing to bet they're the same here as in HnH, 7less did say 9 days for murder so about the same...

Moo doesn't know any more than we do. He just has a more direct connection to the devs, which, if you think about it, probably isn't any closer than some of the players that were picked to play in the early testing.

I've got very very rough ideas of how long they last. Doubt it's what you're looking for but here's my estimates.

Tresspassing 6-12 hours
Vandalism 2-4 days
Theft 2-4 days
Murder 9 days (according to a dev)

Battery/Assault Unsure

Just because you can do something, does not mean you have the obligation to do so. Something like this is easily tested by players, so why should they even waste their time typing out the response? You got a pretty good rough breakdown from Sevenless, if you need more specifics, GO TEST IT!

You're quite right. They could. You've been around them how long now? Nearly two years? You should know by now that this isn't their M.O.
