Tips for living in Darkness

So I decided to pack up all of my valuables and relocate to the Darkness, just seemed like the thing to do. I reached the point where the drain really starts, about .1/tick, and I'm looking for some pointers on ways to survive/thrive. I built my shelter and got a fire going, but that didn't seem to do much. Will the drain stop inside a house? Did I go too far in or am I going to be fine? My humors are right around 30 each. Thanks!

I did read this a few days ago, but I'm looking for some tips from others that do/have live/lived in the Darkness. Specifically do houses/hovels stop the drain? I'm hoping I don't have to port back to Boston every 5-10 minutes to charge up?

I got "guided" close to the edge of the darkness and have been questing into it ever since I got lost the first time... and having just read through the linked thread, I think the information there is very accurate. If you are living in the soft darkness you need to get your humors up so you can offset the soft drain... if you're trying to live in the hard darkness.... good luck!

get your humours up to stop the drain, as far as i know darkness affects regeneration first before draining.
