how can i give my friend access to my settlement even when im offline?

Have him on your kin list first off, then color his name however you would like. (option is given when you highlight his name) Then go to your claim stone and there should be the colors along the bottom of the menu, each color has different permissions, match the color of your friend to the permissions you set on the stone and he should have access all the time. hope that helped

as a side note, never ever give permissions to white kin (yes, double entendre in there). It is the standard colour for new kins, and a little uncareful kinning will probably result in multiple white entries which you don't want to give access to your settlement.
