Alchemy: Alembic?

Has the alembic been removed? After getting the alchemy skill, the alembic doesn't seem to be listed with the other three pieces of alchemy equipment? Does it require a different skill, is it listed in a different area, or has it been removed entirely?

Well it was worthless at all so probably got removed.

That hardly answers my question. I believe it is part of the alchemy pack and thus still in-game (according to the notes), so I wonder if there has been a change in the way one acquires it. Jorb, Loftar, is this the case?

"they can't have nice things" thats the primary word about this game and im very suprised that they removed that "worst thing" from the game, before reset you've got access to all of the alchemy stuff including alembic, i've noticed that it's missing now but i will be much more happy when it comes back in other form

Don't listen to wiatrak. We don't know as much about the Alchemy skill as we should. The devs were pretty close mouthed about it when they added it and the items aren't very useful for the most part so little research has gone into the skill. Since the alembic needs a copper bar, it's possible you need Blacksmithing or perhaps Metallurgy to make it. Do you have one or both of these skills? Please check and if you don't, unlock them. Post back here if that unlocks the Alembic too and I'll update the wiki.

I didn't listen to wiatrak - I found all of the alchemy equipment interesting and useful. Of course, the legacy humus made the equipment needless, but still. As far as my skills, I have both metallurgy and blacksmithing. I currently lack cauldronmaking, but I don't believe it is relevant. I also lack several of the higher-tier skills, so I will check as I unlock them. However, I currently have only three craftable items in the alchemy tab, with the alembic being the missing item. Just to confirm, the alembic did appear in that tab last world, yes?

IIRC, I did not have Cauldron Making on my Roanoke main and I was missing the ability to make one of the alchemy items. I am 90% sure it was the Alembic that I could not make. Could have been one of the others for different reasons though

If alchemy is the same as it was before the reboot.. Wiatrak is right. The alembic was completely useless.

The only alchemy item worth using was the retort. It's too bad because the alchemy system could be great with only a few small modifications.
