How do I put objects down (after I lifted them up) with using the grid instead of inefficiently putting them down everywhere. It's just a little annoying thing I get with being a perfectionist >,<

right click the item when it is above your head to create a "ghost" image of it and where it will go when you place it.

that's for tile centering. Right-clicking an item you're carrying will allow you to place it as if placing a new building. Tile centering can be faster in certain scenarios, e.g. when placing plant pots to a grid or the like.

PS: tile centering is a feature of the custom clients, and is not available in the default client.
