how do i use fire to cook verginian snails

i found a virginian snail and got survival skills. i lighted a pile of wood for a fire and wanted to cook said verginian snail but it says i need a fire and i got a fire as stated. how do i cook it?

Right click the fire first.

thanks lol i figured it out. it doesnt shoiw any menu or notice toguh so thats why i got confused
also how do i add fuel to a ring of stones fireplace

Left click branch, right click fireplace. In general, always try right click first for any interactions.

And by "right-click the fireplace" he means the stones, not the center.
