Greetings Filthy Squatters of Salem,

New Wiki Link

http://www.salem-wiki.com

As with all Spirit Walks the Tribe was given ample time to reflect upon our world and improve upon the lands that are Salem. One of the biggest question we have received lately is our infinite knowledge. Players have questioned how it is possible that we could have such up-to-date knowledge and information at the tip of our tongues. It is simple, up until now the Tribe & its Treaty Payers have had access to a superior wiki. One that we are now making known and available to the public!

The Differences
First lets take a look at some key differences:
Image

Now the Wiki on the bottom is EXCELLENT if your primary focus is getting your hands on some Free Butterball Turkey coupons. But if you are looking to have a detailed description about the item and how it can be best used to help your character advancement you may want to focus on the one @ the top.

*In addition to this dozens if not hundreds of inaccuracies are fixed and/or updated.

*Terrains now feature pictures of the animals encountered as well as links to all the inspirational found in them. The difference can be seen between Here and Here

*There is an entire political section of the Wiki now. Completely separate from the factual in-game data but important none-the-less. This contains information about factions, biographies of important people, and battles that have taken place in Salem. Much of this "Lore" can be viewed by starting Here.

*Dozens if not Hundreds of broken links were corrected.

*New Graphics and pictures were added for the items not currently available on the old wiki.

*Superior .com domain over .info.

*You can now search for items based on the slot they go into. An example of this can be seen Here

*By essentially "Rewriting" the wiki we were able to take out a TON of needless pages and information that linked to old menus and information dating as far back as the Alpha stages of the game.

Will I be told to make an account if I want to see an update to this Wiki?
No. Unlike the mentality of the "other" Wiki you will not be simply told to "do it yourself" when it comes to updating stuff. The Tribe takes pride in the accuracy of our work and any non-tribal Classified information can be updated/posted upon request. Currently we are in the process of Updating the food sections to include the new hybrid variations of foods and welcome any submissions of food products you have "Discovered". We will then do the updating for you if you wish. Thats not to say you can't have an account but you are not FORCED to register to something if you would just like to share your information in this thread.

Why Not Improve the Old One?
We tried. No less than (3) Tribal affiliates had their work tainted, deleted, or their accounts deleted by the admins of the other wiki. The old wiki is maintained by players who have long since quit and/or been run off from the game and it is speculated that they were removing our content for purely political reasons. While it is more time/money/ and effort to maintain our own we found that not having our content removed and our wiki accounts banned was well worth it.

Who supports this Wiki?
This wiki is obviously endorsed and updated by Tribal Braves and improving and maintaining it is an integral part of a new Braves Vision Quest. In addition to this Kandarim has pledged his Support of this wiki and his client should be redirecting to the new wiki shortly. We have reached out to Ender to do the same.

Is this or the other wiki Copyrighted? (FOR THE MODS)
Yes. But the copyright clearly states that you are all allowed to share/copy/transmit the work. At the time when we were re-writing and updating the data we reviewed the following copyright:

As we understand it, the wikis (both ours and theirs) is under this license. As we understand the license you are welcome to copy our wiki and/or changes to your own. OR simply take all the new data/updates etc. and do your best to "update" the old wiki to be as accurate as ours although it will still have the various advertisements etc. That all being said we acknowledge that while countless pages have been rewritten the "backbone" of the information was made available to us by utilizing the old wiki and would like to give them the credit and/or source acknowledgement for assisting us in the creation of ours.

Your Welcome,

NP. There is still a lot we want to do on there like have equipment searchable by the slot it goes into as well as showing the matrix information that Darknacht has put so much work into. If there is something your looking for that is missing feel free to PM me and I will assign a VQ Applicant to the task.

Barring any issues during testing phase (which I doubt), my client should be making the switch soon™.

It would be nice if other posters got involved in the "Lore" section. You are free to submit a "biography" about your character, what he stands for, etc. etc. OR if you arn't feeling imaginative but want to be on there just send me a PM and we will write your history for you :). Like we did for Claeyt(who is welcome to change it)

Fantastic job! I do not know who ran or owned the other Wiki, but it sucked. Glad to see someone with some real intelligence working on this one!

Thank you! I suspect those ******, ****** ads splattered all over every page contributed significantly to how bloated chrome perpetually gets when I have 15+ wiki tabs open at all hours of the day.

Would be nice if you had some non-tribe moderators in there as well, might make people have a bit more trust that there isn't any information carefully excluded from public knowledge, not that the Tribe would ever do such a thing ¦]
