I built mine, trying to use pickaxe but cant mine? What to do?

Installed mine support..

Did you place lit wood piles near the walls to make them crack? Once that happens aim your pickaxe at the bottom of the wall.

If the wall is cracked (by fire), just click at the bottom of the section you want to mine, click close to the floor. Clicking higher won't work.

Also don't forget the mine supports so you don't have a cave in.

And to place your mouse in the botton of the wall once you want to mine it :3

Yes be careful about cave-ins. I almost got killed last night but thanks to queet8r and an unknown, for pulling me to safety. Not sure if it would have killed me but better safe than sorry!

Mines are also finite size. So if you are at the edge of a very large mine that you found out in the wilderness it is possible you are trying to mine a tile that is un-mineable.
