How long does a personal claim last for?

Hey y'all!
So after looking around, researching, I still require some answers/advice:
Me and some friends are looking to build a camp together, but the chosen location is very far! Now, if I am to stake a personal claim (and set up a secret they can travel to) how long will the standard 'personal claim' last for without adding silver? We don't have a huge silver income at the moment to pay for the upkeep so I'm curious to know how long we have to farm some silver to pay for it?
Thanks in advanced!

When you build the claim it has enough upkeep for a month. But that's assuming you won't resize it.

Personal claim which is not extended remains 1 month as active without adding money but it's not useful. I recommend you to put a town claim. A standart town claim which is not extended spends 2 silvers per hour. I calculated it when i putted a town charter first time if i'm not wrong. It means if you don't put money to town bell i guess your town claim will be disable 4 days or 5 days later. Nobody waste a town claim without putting a trial by fire and waiting for 24 hours.

I don't understand why, in your opinion, personal claim is not useful, and why you recommend a town claim.
This is a group of new people, they are worried about paying 4s / day upkeep for personal claim, and you recommend buying 2500s town claim.
Especially that they need personal claim to teleport to desired location instead of having to walk.

I recommend you start farming cotton to pay upkeep for starters.
You don't need to farm much, for a decent claim (50 x 50) monthly fee is ~370s.
Cotton grows in 4 days, giving you ~7 growth cycles per month.
If you harvest cotton 6 times per month you need 5 cotton fields with 200% plenty to pay for claim's upkeep.
You'll probably run into problems expanding the claim instead of paying it, so just make more fields.

Because for example when i find your base if i see it seems a rich base, that's all i need is to put a town claim there to raid your base without scents and hits of braizers. I never be hesitate to spend 2500 silvers to raid your rich base.
