I remember grinding gardening purity pre update - I never saw more than 2-3% increase even with 90% humus. So i guess that the tree you put into pot matter the most. Just give it 2-3 more iterations to see if humus is a soft cap.

It's difficult to do science when 2-3 iterations takes 2-3 weeks.

No, that makes it slow. What makes it difficult is that the game mechanics change every week :D

Seriously though, you don't have to wait until you can take a cutting from a tree to cut it down. You just get less wood. If you're fortunate enough to have two purity trees you can go ahead and whack one to build a compost bin.

That reminds me, my purity pots should be twigs by now. Can't wait to get home and experience the fail :D

if you could show the elemental composition, that would be more helpful. As it is, I can only guess that the Salt in the Humus is around 32.

Still, this strongly suggests that Worm Purity is the replacement for the Input Purity, and the formula remains basically the same.

Yea that looks about right. The purity of the compost bin is basically a soft cap on the purity of the output. Keep them worms safe man. Legacy worms may be the only way you'll ever be able to produce 100% crops in the future, and therefore other 100% worms.

The humus is being capped by the fancy zero % bins you are using.

The question is what is the magnitude of this effect (since it's a soft-cap), and how does it manifest itself when the bin purity is higher?

Further worm questions:
-Do the quantity of worms matter for the purity calculation?
-Do Pythons and Worms contribute separately to purity? Are they averaged first? Are they weighted proportional to their composting power?

The ultimate goal is to be able to look at a Compost Bin of known purity, look at the worms inside, and then be able to predict the exact composition of the humus that will be produced.
