Right-click disabled on Mac, or am I just a moron?

Hi there, thread title should be self-explanatory really. I'm on a Macbook Pro (OS X 10.6.8) and trapped in character creation since the usual ctrl+click doesn't seem to work. Didn't see any mention of it in search, anyone got any advice so I can get stuck in? Cheers!

Where, exactly, are you stuck in character creation? Have you picked a gender, name, and done optionals like changing hair style, color, and gotten your clothes from the chest? If you've done the mandatories, you can right click (or rather the Mac equivalent of a right click) the big boat and be brought to the Colony (server) selection window where you pick the colony you start off at.

I'm having the same problem. I have a two button mouse but I can't right click any of the characters in starting place, so I can't choose a name etc.

Right-click does work on Mac. I run a Mac and have a two button mouse. No issues at all.
There must be some other odd issue here.

Have you both checked your system settings of your mice? Do they work when doing other things than playing Salem?

There used to be a key combination of cmd+left click, alt+left click or ctrl+left click to simulate a right click (when playing RuneScape at least), but even if this still works on Mac it doesn't in Salem. Just tried. (ctrl+click drops stuff on the ground)

No I cant, only with WASD. I can only click on the interface buttons.

Uppdate java pls, if it doesnt work try downloading jdk

try changing your Mac video setting to use 32bits color instead of 16bit color . Mouse clicking will not work on 16bit color for salem

I have that problem if I try to use the default client. Switch to Ender's if you haven't already.
