Hey bud.

Phlegm is a tough one to get early on. Since your other stats are higher, you should be able to do some rabbit hunting though. Kill/butcher those as best you can (this of course requires some of the butchery chain of skills to get more meat from them). Rabbit cuts/steaks are decent <20 phlegm foods. Top those off with milkweed and wild garlic and that should be a start.

Now if you want to extend your options a bit, lean rabbit is also a good phlegm food. But the *best* phlegm option you have is making Wild Salads. This requires the Flowers and Berries skill and some fairly diverse forageables, but it's an awesome food.

So:

Rabbit cut, rabbit steak, lean rabbit, wild salad, milkweed, wild garlic.

Gather whatever you can off that list, and then eat it all at once :)

Edit: Just saw that black bile stat. Time to be really careful to raise your weaker stats, and you're going to need more than just a couple cuts of rabbit to raise phlegm now. Thankfully 95% of the phlegm foods don't give black bile as an off stat.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

A walk on the wild side is really good phlegm food. You can sometimes find deer killed by bears, and you should be able to kill beavers yourself.

The gluttony section of my guide explains this pretty well. There's no reliable/low level yellow bile food in the game when eaten solo. You have to combine at least two recipes to get reliable YB gains.

After catching a fish, place it on a drying frame like a raw hide. (requires Hideworking to build the frame).
