Where exaxctly do you find these? What do they look like in Ender's client icon list?

I read Coniferous Forest....so I trek my happy butt into the dark greenish forest with brambles and all I see are crickets galore and timber rattlers...with an occassional deer - after going N, S. W. E all over in this area of forest I have yet to see a single turkey.

Any help would be appreciated.

Coniferous forests/badlands. I think they're not so common now [there used to be a lot after they were implemented, but then the spawn rate was drastically decreased].

Right about the place, wrong about the spawns, at least in the "dark" forest as I call it. They are very common there.

There are 2 minimap forests that look pretty similiar, there is the dark forest/pine forest/coniferous which are a darker grey brown, and the oak savana which is a lighter more browner .. er brown. Savana doesnt have turkeys, but has lots of garlic and snakes. Pine forest has lots of blackberry bushes and lavender blewits.

I have to completely disagree. Didn't have much luck finding [too many of] them there in a while. Also seems like the OP is having as much luck finding them there too.

I think you're confusing the marshland and the oak savannah. The oak savannah is a light bright green color and there are turkeys there.

To the OP, keep in mind that being in the right biome doesn't guarantee you will find the critter you're looking for right when you need it. There might not be any spawned at the moment or they might have already been hunted by others. If you don't find any right now, check back again later. I can go a whole day without seeing a single bear in my pine forest but then the next day see 5 of them in close proximity to each other.

I live in a dark forest and a wander upon at least one group of turkeys daily.

Marshland

I don't have an oak savannah anywhere near me or I would post a pic of it. As I said, it's a light, bright green color. You'll know it if you ever come across one because it doesn't look like anything else and there are myrtle oaks everywhere.

This is what the Oak Savanna tile looks like.

And to anyone curious, this should be a badlands tile.
