After long hours of toiling I finally made my first boat!
The speed is AWESOME!


I was trying to avoid drawing attention by leaving it lying about, outside when I went to place it on the floor inside my little hovel.

Upon doing so the boat promptly teleported outside of the walls of my room into the blackness of the void.... there it sits... taunting me...how do I get this back?

Sounds like you will need to salvage or destroy the house to get your boat back.

The best way that Ive found to store a boat inside of a building is to carry it on your shoulders from outside, and then place it down by right-clicking on it once and hold the ctrl key to place it down in a space you want.
...just dropping a boat will place it randomly, and usually ends badly inside a building.

If i recall right, items beyond the walls do not return upon salvagng or destroying, so your boat is gone. Take that free one.

Accepting anything (from other players) especially free items from players that you are not familiar with, it is not a safe practice of survival in this game.

Take this **** serious:), Even though there are not really that many trolls who like to kill noobs, you never know.
It is usually free hunting for them.
Make a new char, and use that useless char to bring your free canoe, also, search for how to quarantine the canoe to avoid getting scented items:).
