I'm growing pumpkins just to build up the influence bar. Is there any difference between harvesting them as soon as they are harvestable and waiting till they are full grown?

Iirc there was something you lose when harvesting pumpkin early, if it was not the influence, what else was it then?

Yes you will get less seeds from stage 1 pumpkins than from stage 3, but it there was something else, I think it was the %, but I'm not sure.

According to this if you harvest corn early you will not advance the field purity. Perhaps this is what you are thinking of?

Yes, maybe I had this post in mind, though I'll take a closer look next time I harvest pumpkins.^^

baby corn doesn't advance purity or influence as far as i remember. pumpkins don't have an unfinished stage, so they should be fine.
