Salem

I have the latest version of windows 10 home and I can't figure out how to get salem to load when I push open all that happens is a flicker on the screen and than i'm looking at the option to open the file again is there anyone able to help me out with this?

If you do not want to use one of those clients, then updating Java might be your only recourse.

One of those clients found on the shared link will be your best bet.

it's probably a permissions error. just have to set it to be less picky about the certificates it trusts

actually I lied
add them to an exception cause you basically cannot make it less picky

I've tried everything I can think of I've been working on this for two days and I've gotten no where.

More recent versions of Java do not allowed self-signed java webstart applications to run. Long story short, you'll have to add specific sites to the exception list of your java installation.
For this client, that site is http://donnessime.github.io (FYI, Ender's client is at http://enderwiggin.github.io).

Also.. what version did you download the jnlp or the jar? Jnlp doesn't work for me, jar works fine. You may have to try the jar if you haven't already.

do you have a mink to the jar? i'll try it rewriting my computes internet explorer is not getting the promise I was looking for
